IHFR BOARD OF DIRECTORS - Emergency Declaration 2020 - 01
The Indian Hills Fire Protection District Board of Directors conducted a Special Board meeting on Monday, 30 March to extend the Disaster Emergency Declaration initially declared on March 24th. This action was taken based on the continuing imminent threat posed by the COVID-19 virus to life, public health and public safety within the District. The Board also took action, consistent with the Governor’s declarations and current health advisories and in the best interests of the citizens of the District to change the election procedure of the May 5, 2020 regular special district election from polling place to mail ballot, consistent with the procedure set forth in § 1-13.5-1101 and following, C.R.S., to the extent feasible in light of the emergency circumstances and shortened timeline.
